Watercolour is popular with many artists because it is versatile and easy to transport.
The whiteness of the paper shining through the translucent paint fills the image with light.
Traditionally used, water-based paint has a special and unique property: it flows easily.
The spreading paint itself creates surprising and beautiful effects.
When additional paint is added alongside the wet coat, the shades blend beautifully.
The wetter the paper is, the better the paint will spread.
In our case we applied the paint with a lot of water. We have placed one stain next to the other, until we have filled our paper with colours.
Once the paint has dried, we have drawn the zigzag edges with a black marker pen between the colours.
The amorphous forms thus created were named by the participants according to their own feelings.
Some people have created a map of emotions, others a variety of creatures.
The participants looked with interest at each other's finished works. All agreed that this one and a half hour workshop was a really relaxing activity.
