Raku Plant Pots · Marea II

A unique plant pot hand-modelled from white chamotte clay, inspired by the tides and decorated with seaweed motifs and spirals of seashells.

The interior is glazed with a transparent glaze, revealing the light-coloured, crackled surface of the ceramic. On the exterior, the glaze is applied only to the motifs, creating a striking contrast between the matt black of the surface and the coppery and iridescent highlights which are produced using the raku technique.

Every piece is unique: the fire, the smoke and the firing process mean that the shades and highlights vary from one piece to another.
